DFS slow after applying SP4

We have serveral Windows 2000 servers running DFS. All was fine until we
started applying SP4 to these servers. As soon as the service pack is
applied, mapping a drive to this DFS share slows down appreciably. I have
searched the Internet for clues with no success

Any help appreciated

Someone posted the fix on another site -
We are an NT Domain - On all SP4 machines we disabled site awareness (a
registry value) and its running fast again :)
